How to play

Rules, strategy and a moving demonstration for each of the eight games.

Klondike Solitaire

The classic — and most popular — card game in the world.

Rules

  1. Build tableau piles in descending order, alternating red and black
  2. Only Kings can be placed on empty tableau slots
  3. Move Aces to foundations, then build up by suit (A → 2 → … → K)
  4. Draw from the stock to turn cards onto the waste pile
  5. You can move partial sequences between tableau piles

Strategy

Play Klondike Solitaire

Spider Solitaire

Build 8 complete suit runs to clear the table.

Rules

  1. Build descending sequences of any suit on the tableau
  2. Only same-suit sequences can be moved as a group
  3. Complete a K → A same-suit run to remove it from play
  4. Deal a new row from the stock (all columns must have cards)
  5. Remove all 8 complete suit runs to win

Strategy

Play Spider Solitaire

FreeCell

All cards visible — victory is pure strategy.

Rules

  1. All 52 cards are dealt face-up into 8 columns
  2. 4 free cells act as temporary storage (1 card each)
  3. Build tableau in descending order, alternating colors
  4. Build foundations up by suit (A → K)
  5. The number of cards you can move depends on free cells & empty columns

Rules

  1. Cards are arranged in a pyramid of 7 rows (28 cards)
  2. Remove pairs of exposed cards that sum to 13
  3. Kings (value 13) can be removed alone
  4. A card is "exposed" when both cards below it are removed
  5. Draw from stock and pair with waste or pyramid cards

Golf Solitaire

  2. Move any face-up card along with ALL cards on top of it
  3. Build tableau descending with alternating colors
  4. Only Kings go on empty columns (Easy allows any card)
  5. Build foundations up by suit A → K to win

Mahjong Solitaire

The classic solo tile-matching puzzle — not multiplayer Mahjong.

Rules

  1. Match two identical free tiles to remove them from the board
  2. A tile is FREE when no tile rests on top of it AND its left or right side is open
  3. Seasons match any season; flowers match any flower — everything else matches exactly
  4. Remove every tile to win
  5. If no free tiles match, shuffle the remaining tiles (limited by difficulty) or restart

Common questions

Is SCFO Play free?
Yes. All eight games are free to play in the browser, with no download and no payment. An account is optional and unlocks nothing — it only carries your statistics, streaks and unlocked cosmetics between devices.
Do I need an account to play?
No. Every game is fully playable without signing in. Progress made as a guest is stored on your own device, and it is carried over if you later create an account.
Which games are included?
8 games: Klondike Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, FreeCell Solitaire, Pyramid Solitaire, Golf Solitaire, TriPeaks Solitaire, Yukon Solitaire, Mahjong Solitaire.
What is the daily challenge?
One shared deal per game per day, identical for every player. Finishing any one of them keeps your streak; finishing all eight is a Perfect Day.
Is FreeCell always winnable?
Very nearly. Every card is dealt face up and almost every deal is solvable, which is why FreeCell is the game of pure strategy in the collection.
Can Mahjong Solitaire always be solved?
The layouts here are constructed to be solvable, so losing a board means a matching order went wrong rather than the deal being impossible.
Does SCFO Play track me?
No. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising network and no third-party script anywhere in the product. Nothing sets a cookie that would need your consent.
Can I play offline?
Yes. SCFO Play installs as a progressive web app and the games run entirely in your browser.
