Mahjong Solitaire
The classic solo tile-matching puzzle — not multiplayer Mahjong.
How to play Mahjong Solitaire
- Match two identical free tiles to remove them from the board
- A tile is FREE when no tile rests on top of it AND its left or right side is open
- Seasons match any season; flowers match any flower — everything else matches exactly
- Remove every tile to win
- If no free tiles match, shuffle the remaining tiles (limited by difficulty) or restart
Strategy
- Clear tall stacks and long rows from the top and the ends first
- When three copies of a tile are free, check where the fourth is before matching
- Use a hint when stuck — it favors pairs that open up the board
- Easy (Pavilion, 48 tiles) is a quick game; the classic Turtle has 144
